Yesterday afternoon, I went to IBM South Bank office again, to meet Brian Starr, an IBM hiring manager. It was the second interview, and as I learned later from Brian, it was also the final interview, a final stage.
The office is at a very nice location. The neighborhood sits Royal National Theatre and Royal Festival Hall. The London Eyes and House of Parliament are all within walking distance. You actually can see both of them from the office. The view is fascinating.
Brian was running on a very tight schedule. So, the interview actually ran very short, about 40mins. He said in the first interview I'd been tested my technical skills, and that hurdle had been cleared. This interview was to find out whether and how I could fit into the company. He first explained me what the role was about, what it was like to work in IBM, and introduced himself. Then he went on asking a few questions regarding to some of my working experience which interested him, such as how I managed to deal with clients, and what my opinions about it. Also questions about long term career path, such as which direction I would like to see me move forward, a software architect, or a project manager etc. Everything went quite well. At the end, he said he would give me an offer, and would push the application forward quickly. He hoped I would accept the offer. Wow, a very good news for me. I was very excited. After all, this is the closest I'd been to a job offer since I started the job hunting one month and a half ago. But, I know, IBM is a massive organization, and the formalities would just take time and go through a few procedures. What he promised was really encouraging, before I've received the offer letter, however, nothing is set in stone. So, I am still keeping my fingers crossed. To be on a safe side, I will continue my job hunting. Monday noon, will have an interview with Cellectivity.
I have to increase my chances.
Fingers are still crossed.

Congrats!
